What is a Prospective FIP?
Prospective FIPs intend to meet the requirements for active FIPs within one year. These projects are posted on FisheryProgress to help users identify opportunities to support developing FIPs and prevent the start of duplicate FIPs. Prospective FIPs are not yet demonstrating progress toward sustainability.

The FIP Vung Tau has been initiated in November 2015, officially recognised by provincial authorites since July 2016, by the Round Table of Fishmeal producers of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province and their clients - Compound Feed Manufacturers in Vietnam. The project owner is The Fishmeal  & Fish Oil Association of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province. 

Target species is in discussion progress with stakeholders.
