  • Promote the implementation of an effective Harvest Control Rule by the end of the FIP (December 2026)
  • Improve data quality and quantity, to improve anchovy stock assessment (June 2026)
  • Ensure work is not being duplicated with continual evaluation of overlap of the sardine and anchovy fishery by 2021 (completed)
  • Evaluate the impact of the small pelagic fishery on the ecosystem, via modelling by 2023 (completed)
  • Ensure that artisanal fishers landing anchovy are not showing systematic non-compliance with management regulations; ensure that their rights are respected by the management system. (completed)
